creating spaces for human connection and belonging
We as humans have a deep and intrinsic need for connection and belonging. We are relational beings and can only experience true fulfillment and well-being when we are held in webs of healthy and nourishing communities. When we are disconnected from each other, from our most authentic selves, and from a greater experience of purpose or meaning, we experience the wounds of separation. These wounds manifest as stress and anxiety, loneliness and isolation, unhealthy coping strategies, burnout, and other struggles with our mental and emotional health. In its most severe form, disconnection shows up in our bodies as physical pain, illness, or exhaustion.
I work with individuals and organizations to heal the wounds of separation and humanize the systems within which we work and live by cultivating and creating spaces for authentic connection.

SCHOOLS AND YOUTH-SERVING ORGANIZATIONS
Now more than ever, the social and emotional health of students and educators is a priority for youth-serving organizations. Using the lens of neurobiology, human needs, and natural systems, I provide holistic professional development trainings, youth programming, and organizational support that aims to humanize our systems and create more compassionate cultures, in the classroom and beyond.

businesses and non-profit organizations
The effectiveness of any business or organization is supported or hindered by the quality of individual well-being and resilience, of interpersonal relationships and skills, and of the collective organizational culture. I support values-driven, human-centered leaders and teams who seek to create workplaces that invite and value the full humanity of all members.

growth-minded individuals
As humans, we are most fulfilled in our lives and effective in our work and relationships when we are connected: to our inner experience, to others around us, to the natural world, to something greater than ourselves. I work with people who are interested in deepening inner awareness and connecting to others in authentic and meaningful ways so that they might show up in their lives with more joy, resilience, and compassion.
Hi! I’m Jo.
I’m a facilitator and educator in Portland, Oregon. I create spaces for humans to connect more deeply with our authentic selves, with each other, and with the larger webs of community, humanity, and nature within which we are all nested so that we can show up more skillfully in our lives and work.
Whether you are an educator or facilitator seeking more tools and skills for the human dimensions of your work, an organizational leader wanting to develop your team and improve culture, or an individual longing for authentic community and personal transformation, I’m excited to support you (and your people) on your journey.
