Inner rewilding:
Nourishment for Uncertain Times
in partnership with Temenos Rising
Four days of deep connection—to the natural world, to community, and to ourselves—with the intention to awaken our hearts and cultivate the courage and resilience to face the personal and collective challenges of our world
August 17-20, 2023
Temenos Forest Sanctuary Yachats, OR
We live in a time of constant change and seemingly endless upheaval, one in which we are relentlessly called to do more. Confronted with the ceaseless demands of capitalism and our economic realities, the constant needs of those for whom we are caretakers, the cries for justice and reform of inhumane and oppressive systems, and the realities of inhabiting a warming and wounded planet, we are overwhelmed and exhausted. Our brains and bodies evolved in a world that was vastly different from the one which we currently inhabit, and the speed and intensity at which we operate is often more than we can bear.
Over these four days, we will build our capacity to keep our hearts open by being in community with others who see and honor our struggle, making space to experience our bodies’ innate emotional wisdom, and engaging in practices that nourish our spirits and nervous systems. We will disconnect from the urgency and insistence of our daily lives so that we might access the deeper layers of intelligence and wisdom present in our bodies and in the natural world.
this retreat will include:
Cultivating beloved community through intentional play, deep conversation, and group ritual
Creating a container for expressing and honoring the diverse experiences and emotional responses to the realities and challenges of our times
Nourishing our nervous systems and feeding our souls with forest bathing, meditation, embodied awareness, mindful self-compassion. and movement
Exploring the wisdom of the stress response system and strategies for regulating ourselves and expanding our resiliency in everyday life
Space for slowing down through stillness, solitude, and rest

This retreat will take place on 5 magical acres of forest in Yachats, Oregon with dozens of forested acres surrounding and vast expanses of national forest just steps away. You are invited to camp in the forest, let the sound of the ocean lull you to sleep, and connect deeply with the trees and beings of this land. The ocean is a 15 minute walk, mostly through the forest, and there are various creeks to enjoy on and around the property. This space offers itself for deep healing and alignment with your highest self. You will likely go home having the land and its inhabitants wedged deeply into your being.
You will have free time to roam the trails on the property and bask in the stillness and abundance of this sacred space. The forest, creeks, and nearby ocean provide space to re-balance and re-wild your inner landscape and reconnect to the beauty, joy, and abundance that is always available. Our intention is for you to leave feeling grounded, nourished, and re-connected.

We ask that our participants be committed to the ongoing learning and awareness of how white supremacy negatively impacts all life, especially black and brown people. In an effort to support an inclusive space, we know this work, this dismantling of systemic oppression, is essential to sharing healing spaces and to supporting the collective liberation for all beings.
